Become a member

The Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People (GAROP) works with organisations seeking to promote and strengthen the rights of older people. Learn more about the benefits of becoming a member [here].

If your organisation supports GAROP’s vision, mission and values and would like to become a part of this civil society movement, you can apply to become a member by filling out the form here. GAROP membership is only open to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) at this time.

Please note that the GAROP Steering Group decided to introduce an annual membership fee in 2021. The amount that members pay is determined by their location and organisational income and is shown in the table below. Payment instructions will be provided when you join.

Contact details will be collected and administered by HelpAge International, based in London, United Kingdom, the host organisation for the GAROP Secretariat and will not be shared with any third parties or used for any purpose other than to share information about GAROP activities. As the GAROP host organisation, HelpAge International receives and administers funds on behalf of GAROP. The GAROP Steering Group is responsible for decisions relating to the use of GAROP’s funds.
