The NGO Committee on Ageing in New York will celebrate the International Day of Older Persons on Wednesday 1 October 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (EST) at the United Nations Headquarters (ECOSOC Chamber).
The theme of this year’s event is: “Older Persons Driving Local and Global Action: Our Aspirations, Our Well-Being, Our Rights.”
The event will be broadcast live on UN WebTV, highlighting the vital role of older persons as advocates, experts, and changemakers in promoting health equity, financial security, human rights, and inclusive, age-friendly societies.
