This webinar will take place on 15th September at 08:00am ET.
Globally, one in two people are ageist against older persons, and evidence demonstrates that older persons who experience ageism are at higher risk of a shorter lifespan, poorer physical and mental health, and slower recovery from disability and cognitive decline. The UN Global Report on Ageism which explores the negative impacts of ageism was created for policymakers, academics, and civil society to aid in the development of action against ageism.
The IFA is pleased to host Dr Vânia de la Fuente-Núñez, a lead author for the UN Global Report on Ageism, for Creating a World for All Ages: Mobilizing Action to Combat Ageism, an interactive dialogue that will address the impacts of ageism as well as actions to combat ageism.
This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada.
