The conference offers representatives of civil society the opportunity to learn about the international framework and engage in an exchange with non-governmental organisations from different countries. The aim of the event is to show how civil society can influence debates at the United Nations and, conversely, how it can use international agreements in its national advocacy work.
The conference is the kick-off event of the series “An engaged civil society as engine for an age-friendly society: an international exchange”, organised by the Secretariat for International Policy on Ageing of BAGSO together with the Standing Working Group on Ageing of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), AGE Platform Europe, the NGO Committee on Ageing Geneva and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
Simultaneous translation will be available in English and German. Participation in the event is free of charge. Registration deadline is 30 October.
