#AgeWithRights Global Rally 2024
8-14 April 2024
The Global Rally is a key part of the Age With Rights campaign that provides opportunity for people around the world who support the stronger protection and promotion of older people’s human rights to unite in solidarity and call on governments to take action and support the drafting of the United Nations (UN) convention on the rights of older people people.
The Global Rally will consist of a series of unique campaign actions in different time zones throughout the week, organised by GAROP member organisations and other campaigners, activists and advocates for older people’s rights.

There are various activities you can organise as part of the Rally. Collect signatures for a petition urging governments to start drafting the convention can be integrated to your activities as well. Below are a few examples of last year’s actions to keep you inspired. Be creative!

Virtual Global Rally Summit
Date: 11 April 2024
To highlight the Global Rally and the power of our campaign, the GAROP Secretariat and Steering Group had organised this 75-minute central global virtual dialogue or ‘Summit’ aimed to spotlight human rights gaps, engage newcomers, connect stakeholders, raise awareness of intersectional discrimination, and advocate for active participation in the 14th UN OEWG session and drafting of a convention.
