| Brief description (including themes or event programme if applicable) | This event is a part of the Policy Form on the Human Rights of Older Persons. AGAC bimonthly organizes, together with the National Human Rights commission of Korea, to discuss various issues related to the human rights of older persons. This forum intends to come up with concrete policy recommendations for the Korean government and interested in bringing the issues of the human rights of older persons to light in policy discussion at the national level.
In line with the purpose of the aforementioned forum, the 5th Policy Forum on the Human Rights of Older Persons will discuss the international community’s efforts and trends surrounding the draft of UN Convention on the Rights of Older Person in advance of OEWGA. Thus, this forum will cover two following themes: ① The Need for Preparatory Works Towards an International Convention on the Rights of Older Persons ② Content and Prospects for the Implementation of an International Convention on the Rights of Older Persons |
