On 25th February GAROP held its latest webinar in the series organised in partnership with the International Federation on Ageing.
The webinar focused on key messages and evidence about older people’s rights to support participants with their preparations for the 11th session of the Open-ended Working Group on Ageing (OEWG). It examined the adequacy of the international human rights system with respect to older people’s rights and how our understanding of human rights in older age has grown through the sessions of the OEWG. It also looked at what the pandemic has shown us about older people’s rights and what NGOs can do now to prepare for and engage actively in the 11th session.
